HOW I FOUND YOGA
Yoga has always been a source of healing and personal growth since my mother took me to my first class in Tokyo more than ten years ago, and is what helped me find acceptance, forgiveness and compassion after she passed.
I started practicing yoga with my mum in Japan as a teenager, and quickly discovered how the practice helped me cultivate joy and gratitude both on and off the mat. Through life's ups and downs, my yoga practice in all its forms has helped transform difficult emotions into strength, resilience and courage, which makes me the perfect teacher to help you do the same.
MY JOURNEY INTO TEACHING
I answered the call to become a yoga teacher and embarked on a 200 hour training with Yoga Alliance-accredited School Yoga Institute at the Mystical Yoga Farm on the shores of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala during my solo travels through Central America.
I have since then completed an Advanced 75-hour Rocket teacher training at Chroma Yoga in London with legacy Rocket practitioner, Amber Gean, as well as a 40-hour Yin Yoga & Mindfulness course with Sarah Lo at Triyoga.
In addition to more than a decade long practice, I have ample experience teaching students of all levels in a variety of settings, from rooftops and hotel terraces, to yoga studios, corporate meeting rooms and private living spaces.
MY TEACHING STYLE
My focus is on helping my clients find clarity, connection and a bit of stillness through my teachings to support their busy city lives, all the while helping you calm your mind, build strength and flexibility, and cultivate confidence, kindness and compassion both on and off the mat. That’s why I like to teach classes that are playful, loving and compassionate with a focus on self inquiry.
I teach students of all levels, and offer a wide variety of yoga styles, all of which can be tailored to suit your needs. Class styles include, but not limited to: Rocket, Vinyasa, Flow to Let Go, Step into Your Power Flow, and Yin.
